I managed to grow some small cantaloupes (many years ago when we lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan). They didn’t get eaten by garden-raiding critters, but one of them was eaten in the house, by one of our cats! He really liked cucumbers and green beans too; used to eat those out in the garden.

I was proud to get one to ripen. One left to go. There is a mystery melon under the banana forest. I guess I will be hovering over that one also.
