I keep them in pots because they are poisonous to grazers and they must have well-drained soil. I think they are more of a house plant in Florida because they go dormant in heat.

Thanks for this comment Christina. I’ll experiment with half of them and see if they survive in NC. We never know how severe or wet our winters will be, so I never risk ALL of any type of plant.

I grow them in pots but the ones that I planted outside after flowering last year are flowering at the same time as those inside the greenhouse!
