Passion Vine is not a potato

My passion vine is covered in gorgeous blooms.

My gorgeous blooms are covered in beetles.

They seem to be three-lined potato beetles.

Maybe the ant will tell them.

The seem right at home on the blooms.

FLOW

Hangin’ out with a Hummer

It has taken many quiet hours to get these little jewels habituated to my presence.

I have placed chairs in different spots in the yard,

where I quietly sit most days, just long enough to be noticed and then ignored.

A Pineapple Sage bloom came off on her beak.

I sat among the herbs in the bunny yard today to get these shots.

She even hovered in front of my face and the camera, too close for the zoom lens.

She took breaks between plants.

Today’s flower favorites were are Pineapple sage, Turk’s cap, Passion Flower hybrid ‘Blue Crown’ and Mexican bush sage.

FLOWER is a quiet friend.

My Living Memory

I went on the trip of my dreams last fall.

My family spent two weeks in beautiful Italy.

Everywhere we looked there was something new, unusual and exciting.

This flower stopped my in my tracks.

Everything else fell away

the only two things in the world were me and this face.

Passion flower.

I posted it as a wordless Wednesday from Tuscany.

Now,  I have this plant. It arrived last week, wrapped up in a box from Easy to Grow Bulbs.com.

Every year when it blooms,  I will pause and remember

that I got to have one of my dreams. I am so grateful.

FLOWER is fortunate!
