I have a beautyberry bush in my garden at Wildwood. It has thrived in my absence. I love it when things do that.
I found a bigger, more berriful bush in a Charleston garden. It grew in the side garden of the Manigault Mansion. It seems things grow better in Charleston.
I am still proud of my little bush on the hill at home. It is just as lovely.

I bet that was lovely. The berries do not seem real. They look like beads or candy. How are your plants?

I agree, I never saw berries that color. I’ll have a post coming up, but the plants that I started from seed grew bigger than I ever saw those particular plants grow. My fenced-in garden turned into a jungle.
