If you could go anywhere for seven to ten days, where would you go?
I have this choice for my 40th anniversary this June.
Help me decide.
I get overwhelmed by too many people. I want to be surrounded by unusual plants and animals.
I love to swim and snorkel.
I do not care about getting dressed up or eating fancy food.
If you know of such a haven, send me a name of the place.

Sounds like Australia to me. Puerto Rico is another good choice. Congratulations on 40 years!

Mine too. In June it would be winter there, but I don’t get the feeling it’s that cold.

The Yucatan in June may be HOT, but the snorkeling and beaches are tiptop. Laid back with lots to do and see.

A lovely question and one I have enjoyed pondering… Well, as I have never been to the US I would have to recommend somewhere in Europe. June is a lovely month to tour gardens in the south of England for example, and something I plan to do one day.

Thank you Cathy. I love all gardens. We need some fun and relaxation.

Victoria on Vancouver Island has beautiful gardens, and BC in general is gorgeous. My favorite vacation was on Hornby Island, just a few ferry rides away from Victoria. We saw so many Bald Eagles and shore birds. Lovely little mini-deer, too! Their Provincial Park is a peaceful place, with a beach that reminds me of a Moonscape! The trees on the Island are magnificent and so different from what I see in the Midwest. We were there in early June, a great time to be there!

We flew to Seattle & rented a car and appreciated the independence that the car gave us! We found a lot of good Air B&B’s on the island. We went there to meet people from many states and other countries who we’d met online though an Eagle Nest camera online community- and we’re all still connected!

That is great. What a great way to make and maintain friendships Dorothy Jane.

What a beautiful gift. I’d be interested in renting a “narrow boat” and traveling the canals of Great Britain, but I think that I was just swayed by Dorothy Jayne’s idea. Sounds SO peaceful.
