This Crocosmia is my absolute favorite. It blooms so prolifically that it requires support fences to hold up the flowers.
I love the symmetry which reminds me of Stealth bombers flying on stalks.
The best part about Montebretia ‘Lucifer’ is that nothing eats it.
I really love Lucifer in bloom.

Sadly, our black-tailed deer love the flowers. It’s another one I have to hit with deer repellant at the right time. But it is glorious in bloom!

My repellant packs have been tossed away from the plants by some creature.

I use a repellant spray. Works quite well as long as I apply it in time.
