I know it makes no sense that I have kept these keys.
We never figured out what most of these were for.

Some are for cars long gone, some are for houses sold and offices left.
There are even dog tags from past pets.
Daddy had a reason for keeping these.
Maybe one day, something will need unlocking and I will bring out the box and open a lock that needed opening.
I know it makes no sense to keep these keys, but I cannot get rid of them just yet.

Ha, same is true in this house! Crazy, but I just can’t put them in the metal recycling bin! π

Yep. I still look at them and wonder.

I totally get it.
With a goal of making things easier for my kids when theyβre tasked with sifting through our things, I am trying to downsize and organize. One task I planned to do in October is to gather miscellaneous keys and label them as to what they open. I hope the task will be easier than it looks.

You are so wise. I went through twice as many as the ones pictured but did find two keys that fit a built in desk at my parents house. I was proud to have done this for the new owner. I miss that house. Many of my dreams occur there.I have experienced too much loss in a short time. My family is struggling to adjust. Thanks for the comment bfll.
