A good Amaryllis/Hippeastrum bulb will bloom twice.
If you peek in the boxes from most “big box” stores the contents look like half a bulb because they split them.
My replacement Exotica bulb sent up a stalk of the usual four blooms last month.
It has bloomed another time with six blooms on the second stalk.
Really lovely colors, markings and shapes.
This one’s a keeper.

Mine outside will bloom in several weeks. This Exotica was a new purchase, then a replacement bulb. So it is late for inside. They love to be sidedressed with mushroom compost. I am doing that today in the gardens.
I find the oldest, mushiest bags I can find. I call it “ripe” compost. The plants respond almost immediately. Try that outside. Not in pots. It stinks.

Lovely colour, mine also had two stems but they both bloomed together.
