I use colorful swizzle sticks to mark where I plant bulbs.
I have found that the twisted kind holds up longer and stays up better.
I thought this color combo was rather nice.
The swizzle sticks match the stamen.
Swizzle stick serendipity!

Ooh, that’s a good idea! I don’t always do it, but if I have a special bulb, I might mark it with a little orange flag. Love your crocuses!

I added a photo of the best type of Swizzle Sticks to use. I have a problem with digging up bulbs and dormant plants. I have been working on garden maps, but I am no where near done with them.

Any attempt at garden maps would be futile in my garden. I just can’t stop moving things around to fit my most recent crushes in! But yes, I do know the problem of bulbs and dormant plants. I often try to wait until they show at least a little of themselves. Have mutilated far too many when I charge ahead too early.

Good idea, but aren’t they plastic? I’m trying really hard not to use mono use plastic. I love your stripy crocus.
