I love hundreds of types of plants. I am in love with a dozen or so.
The twinkle in my eye during March belongs to my yellow Epimedium.
It peeks out from under a Pieris japonica bush and an Autumn fern.
Its butter yellow blooms dangle from wiry stalks like tiny lanterns aglow.
A perfect place for a fairy to read a book.
Even the leaves are lovely.

I was not a big fan of Epimedium til I saw yours, very pretty! You doing OK?

haven’t heard of this. Is it a ground cover? I’ll have to see if I can add this to my garden. I too love the heart shaped leaves. BTW it looks a little like a columbine flower doesn’t it?

Columbine are coming next week. You can compare them then. It spreads so slowly, I would not call it a groundcover. It needs shade. Tolerate dry conditions. It is small so needs a spot where it can be appreciated. I also have white and orange which have not bloomed yet.

What a precious little flower and fairy. I love seeing Gran’s vase put to perfect use in your picture!

I was late cutting the leaves back this year. Oh, what a dreadful job today. Worth it though to now see the blooms in all their glory.

Magnifique billet fleuri pour ce printemps et ces belles fleurs jaunes sont merveilleuses tout comme la petite fée assise 🙂
Bon dimanche avec mes amitiés.

They are so tiny and delicate. I thought a fairy would like them.
